The Best Reputation

When I was offered the opportunity to visit one of my long time online friends in Chile, I jumped at the chance. Valecita and I have been chatting for almost six years now, which is amazing if you think about it. So when I got a chance to donate my time as a registered nurse with one of the international health charity organizations, I chose to join the group that is going to Chile. Then I realized oh no, I don’t know that much Spanish! Valecita’s English is amazingly good; she makes me look like a real slouch in the language department! Well, I only have two months before I leave for Chile, so I need to get Rosetta Stone Spanish right away. Everyone will tell you they are the best program ever for learning a language that’s available. I’m so excited to be able to help out poor citizens in Chile, and meet my good friend in person after all these years.

ESL Jobs Abroad

2011
05.03

ESL jobs are one of the very best ways I know of to see the world on a budget. How else can you see a country, meet people, gain respect as an educator and get a taste of a local culture you just could never do as a tourist? You can do all of this teaching English as a Second Langauge any where in the world you feel you want to.

Just pick a great destination. Not sure where to go? What is your favorite food? Chinese, Italian? It doesn’t matter. Why not go there and taste the real food. While your there learn to cook, learn the language, see how people around the world live. You can do all of this if you decide to start teaching English as a Second Langauge. When you begin teaching English as a Second Langauge, you will begin to see the world in a whole other perspective.

On Developing Language Skills Using Makaton

On Developing Language Skills using Makaton.

The design of the Makaton Core Vocabulary is compatible with normal language development. At its most basic, the Makaton vocabulary can be used simply as a vocabulary for naming objects and activities. Then, as the child or adult matures, familiar signs and words can be linked together into meaningful phrases.

When a child or a student begins to combine two or more words together, language structure begins to develop.

For the developmental stage of combining two words together to take place, recent research findings suggest that a basic vocabulary of between 50 and 100 words is needed. It is therefore particularly important that action signs are included early on, as action signs (verbs) provide the means for joining two words. In Makaton it is generally only the key words that are signed in a sentence. A Key word is a word, which conveys the most information.

I have been on a quest to get all of my family signed up for this new class. I would love it if we could all take the class at the same time and on the same day. I have been searching for the right english courses in usa, and I have not been able to find it yet. I have been surprised that I have not been able to find something in the town that we all live in. We have to travel at least thirty minutes to get to the nearest class. I would love to find something else. It is important to learn a new language as it opens the world to new possibilities, friendships, and travel. I highly recommend it and will advise anyone, both young, and old, male and female to learn a new language to open their minds and embrace a new culture and people and food.
