I was looking for some girls backpacks for school, because I wanted to get one to give to my daughter before she left for school, and there were so many other things I still wanted to get for her, but I was slowly running out of time. She was leaving in just a couple of days, and I was really struggling with all of this. I was kind of secretly hoping that she picked a school that was much closer to us, but she was going almost 200 miles away to university. So I had pretty much accepted that I wasn’t going to see her that much anymore, but was actually hoping she would come home for the holidays to visit us. So far she’s really enjoying college and she has come home several times each semester to see us. I am hoping that she decides to at least move back to our hometown after she is finished with school, but if she decides to settle so far away from us, it will be something I have to deal with.
